Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a fund-raising event sponsored by the American Cancer Society. Funds raised by the event are used to provide care, treatment and research. The American Cancer Society has a reputation for maintaining small administrative overhead, so most of your dollars go directly to work for patients, caregivers and researchers.

Making Strides is one of the few walks in support of breast cancer that doesn't require a hefty registration fee. In fact, you can walk for free! That's because the American Cancer Society wants to include everyone that wants to support their fight against breast cancer, whether or not you donate money.
