It's that time again! October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. Time to get off the couch and join the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk.
Making Strides walks are held throughout the United States. In the SF Bay Area, the Making Strides walk will be in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco on Saturday, October 20th. Put it on your calendar!

There are many organizations that collect money for the fight against breast cancer. We've put our support in the American Cancer Society's Making Strides fundraisers because the ACS has one of the lowest overheads of any charitable organization. That means that more of your donations get to the people to need them most. Researchers, caregivers and patients all benefit directly from your donations to this event.
Another reason we like raising money for the Making Strides event is that anyone can participate. Unlike many other walks, runs, rides,... for breast cancer, Making Strides has no registration fees and no fundraising minimums. That's very much in keeping with the ACS's inclusive nature. We agree!
